The first class we will have fun with different paint techniques

Clay Face Pots

This is a two-parts class. In the first class we will use air dry clay to may a pot with a sculpted face. In the second class, we will have fun painting the pots.

I have combined two of my loves (sunflowers and mosaics) to create a fun class. This class will be offered to boys and girls ages 8-12.

Basic Drawing
This class is offered to boys and girls ages 10-14
In this class we will talk about basic art supplies and the importance of daily sketching to develop your skills as an artist. We will learn about sketching from real life, photo reference and imagination. Students will be given strawberries to compose and thumbnail then sketch and draw. Mango?

Sunflower Mosaics

Welcome to Art Garden! We hope to have fun with your kids this Summer exploring art!

All classes are $20 and will be for 2 hours (from 9:30-11:30) on the dates indicated. All art supplies and a light snack will be provided.  Class sizes are limited so sign up and pay to reserve your spot today.

Block Lettering
This class is offered to girls ages 9-12
First, I will teach them some how to make their own block letters. Then we will complete an art project where they can feature their new lettering skill and use acrylic paint to create a fun sign

Mango Still Life- This class is offered to both boys and girls ages 8-12. We will use black paper and chalk pastels to create colorful works of art.

Clay Pots
This will be a two-part class. On the first day, we will use air-dry clay to make pots using slab construction then sculpt faces  On the second day, we will use craft paint to paint the faces. The following pictures are of some Christmas ornament sky kids made using the same technique, but we will not be making Mr and Mrs Claus but ourselves

Self-Portraits 

The ever-popular self portrait class will be offered again this year. Students will use oil pastels to create their colorful self portraits. I have taught this class at least a dozen times now and it is always a big hit. The art that comes out of this is priceless. This class is offered to both boys and girls ages 8-12
